Wooden Furniture: Dust furniture on a regular basis to prevent a filmy layer. Use a very-slightly damp microfiber cloth to trap the dust (and not just push it into the air again). For sticky spots, add a bit of mild soap, remove any residue and immediately dry with a clean, soft cloth.
Leather Furniture: Wipe clean with a dry or very slightly damp rag. After you clean the leather, apply a leather conditioner to keep it supple and buttery soft. The conditioner prevents the leather from drying out and cracking.
Upholstered Furniture: Vacuum on a regular basis with the wand attachment. Have it cleaned by a professional for overall cleaning. For spot cleaning, check the cleaning code on the fabric before using water or other detergents.
